Carry-on baggage

Wondering if your bags could be carried onboard? Here’s our guide:

Each passenger is allowed a standard carry-on baggage. The total weight of the carry-on baggage must not exceed:

  • For Economy Class: 01 piece, maximum weight of 07kg, dimensions not exceeding 115cm (56 x 36 x 23cm)
  • For Business Class: 02 pieces, maximum weight of 07kg each, dimensions of each piece not exceeding 115cm (56 x 36 x 23cm)

In addition to the free carry-on baggage allowance, passengers may carry ONE of the following personal items free of charge:

  • One handbag (male/female) (dimensions not exceeding 23 x 22 x 14 cm)/ one women's purse; or
  • One thin blanket/ one shawl/ one coat; or
  • One umbrella/ walking stick (except those with a metal point at the end); or
  • One book or one newspaper/magazine; or
  • One assistive device for disabled passengers (crutches or walking stick or foldable wheelchair that fits in the baggage compartment) or one medical support device

Free carry-on baggage for infants includes:

  • One bag of infant supplies (containing food and diapers for use during the flight) not exceeding 03 kg with dimensions not exceeding the maximum dimensions of the main carry-on bag; and
  • One lightweight, collapsible stroller/ baby carriage that fits in the overhead compartment (not exceeding the maximum weight and/or dimensions of the main carry-on bag)

Note: If carry-on baggage exceeds the above regulations, passengers may have to return to the check-in counter to convert the excess carry-on baggage weight into checked baggage according to the regulations. This may result in:

  • Passengers having to pay fees for the excess checked baggage at the high rate applied at the airport
  • Passengers potentially missing their flight if there is insufficient time to handle issues arising from baggagimage widget
